Gas tank removal
The gas tank came off today and is in bad shape. I'm not concerned about the exterior, but the interior had a few ounces of very old petrol in it. When fuel sits for that long, it breaks down into a gummy substance like varnish. When it spilled out, it was full of rust. The interior of the tank will have to be thoroughly flushed with fuel and if it's rusted badly, the tank will have to be replaced. I'm hoping we can salvage this one.
